Barry Paquin Roberge

Montreal, QC

Barry Paquin Roberge, also known as BPR, are back and hitting a home run through the ages with their new album, Exordium to Extasy. As disco was dying around the globe in the late 70’s, it was still very much booming in Montreal. For years, this unstoppable scene came to dominate much of Quebec’s radio stations, but eventually succumbed under the steel-toed platform boots of the hair bands. Now, this glam squad is out to rekindle the flame and make the people of today dance their worries away.

Not only can you see this glittery gang coming from afar - but thanks to their time-halting performances, sing-along choruses and fabulous attires, BPR have got folks around the globe chiming into their celebrations. Iceland Airwaves, SIM Sao Paolo, Chile’s Fluvial Festival, Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Havana World Music Festival along with more local music-industry festivities such as Canadian Music Week and M for Montréal have all seen this electrifying ensemble at work!

BPR is comprised of Alexis Roberge (Buddy McNeil & the Magic Mirrors), Sebastien Paquin (also of BM&MM), Etienne Barry (Les Deuxluxes), Jonathan Lafrance (Muscadettes) and Jocelyn Gagné (Les Breastfeeders), and Anna Frances Meyer (Les Deuxluxes). Arguably the best thing since the soundtrack to Xanadu, Exordium to Extasy is the groundbreaking sequel to their GAMIQ award nominated mini-album, Voyage Massage.
